Mission Statement
My mission is to provide childcare services that prepare your child for the future. I
feel that children should be brought up in a family setting. Children play to learn, so I chose to allow them the freedom
to learn while playing. I do offer some structure, such as lunch is served at 11:30 everyday, but if the children do not feel
like doing an art project with the group they are not forced to. I also believe in helping children become independent, they
learn everyday tasks that sometimes can be overlooked by mom and dad, for example each child is asked to clean up their lunch
mess. This includes placing garbage in the garbage, plates, silverware, and cups in the sink. Most parents just do this for
their child without a thought...myself included, and then when the child is introduced into the school system we wonder why
our child does not clean up after themselves. I also guide them through the everyday task of washing their hands, or using
a napkin. We do a lot of Art projects, and music activities. I do several field trips through out the year. We do flash
cards and worksheets. I feel this is the best way to educate and help develop the children.
Deciding on day care for your child is a very personal decision. It is important to get all
of the facts about the facility before you decide.
I understand these concerns and I hope this site will
help educate you about My In-Home Family Day Care. I have put information about my Day Care, and philosophy here
for you to learn more about me.
Thank you for taking the time to visit. Please get in touch if you have any questions
or need more information.
